Chief Executive Officer
Based in Northern Virginia, Ken brings 30 years of executive leadership experience to Element Critical including significant successes rapidly developing and scaling highly respected companies. Prior to Element Critical, Ken founded and served as CEO at ByteGrid, a national platform of Tier 3+ data centers in the U.S. During his tenure at ByteGrid, he led the management team in acquiring five datacenters with over 800,000 SF of mission-critical space and 500 customers. Ken also led the successful strategic acquisitions of Annapolis-based Sidus BioData (a leading provider of compliant hosting solutions for FDA and HIPAA-HITECH regulated companies), and NetRiver, (a Seattle-based managed services provider) to diversify the ByteGrid portfolio and business. Before Ken joined ByteGrid, he was the COO of The Mills Corporation, a NYSE-listed, publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust that acquired, developed, leased and operated large-scale commercial real estate properties with total assets valued at nearly $8 billion. Prior to joining the Mills Corporation, Ken also held various leadership positions with Price Waterhouse and Kenneth Leventhal.
Chief Technical Officer
Jason joined Element Critical With 15+ years of hands-on and management experience in the technology and data center industries. He has worked with, and for, all sizes of companies. From startups to Fortune 500’s, Jason relates data center infrastructure to comprehensive IT and business solutions. Prior to joining Ken Parent to launch Element Critical in 2016, Jason successfully built business and mission-critical teams in solutions engineering, managed services, engineering, operations, construction, security, and corporate strategy for multiple private and provider-based data centers globally. Jason co-founded Vantage Data Centers in Santa Clara, creating and running engineering, operations, construction, solutions engineering, as well as mergers and acquisitions. He assisted organizations in leading the delivery of four net-new Tier 3+ facilities and 50MW+ of customer solutions in 24 months. Subsequent to Vantage, Jason served as Vice President of Corporate Strategy at both Sentinel Data Centers and Gexpro (Rexel USA) before co-founding a boutique data center, IT, and energy consultation firm performing over $10BN of data center acquisition assessment in 2016. Prior to Vantage, Jason ran managed services and solutions engineering for FusionStorm, directed solutions engineering for RagingWire Enterprise Data Center Solutions, and ran global IT operations and disaster recovery for Gap Inc.

Sales & Marketing
The most recent addition to the team, Bryan brings 23 years of executive sales and marketing leadership experience to Element Critical, including successes recruiting, developing and leading high-performance direct and channel sales organizations. Prior to Element Critical, Bryan served as Vice President of the National Strategic Sales Team and Vice President of Mid-Markets, Western Region at Digital Realty Trust, a leading publicly traded data center REIT with over 140 data centers worldwide. Before Bryan joined Digital Realty, he led the channel and Asia Pacific sales organizations at Internap Network Services as Vice President of Global Strategic Channels having previously served as Regional Vice President of the Western Region, leading sales teams in Texas, Seattle, LA, San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Prior to joining Internap, Bryan held various sales leadership positions at CSC, Cable and Wireless, Hughes Networks Systems, AT&T and Internet Services of Atlanta, where he co-founded Atlanta’s first local ISP. His experience spans a diverse set of core infrastructure products and services including network, cloud, content delivery, managed hosting and retail/wholesale data center colocation.
Our first facility was a carrier neutral, network dense, and cross connect friendly Tier III data and compute center with over 8 MW of IT load in the heart of Silicon Valley (SV1). We’re continuing to strategically expand nationally and recently announced the acquisition of a 200,000 square foot data center in Northern Virginia in early 2017.
Element Critical sets up shop in Silicon Valley and re-launches a Yahoo and Level 3 data center. Redundancy of N+1 and 4 Megawatts of critical IT load.
Ken Parent assumes the position of Chief Executive Officer. He is the former CEO and a founder of ByteGrid. Ken held the positions of CFO and COO of The Mills Corporation, a publicly traded real estate investment trust that was acquired by Simon Property Group in 2007.
Safanad, a global principal investment firm, completes its initial investment to support growth and partners with existing shareholder San Francisco based investment firm, Industry Capital, a private equity firm investing in real assets globally.
Tysons Technology Center in Vienna, Virginia acquired. The 280,000-square foot facility is located just off the Washington DC beltway and consists of a 200,000-square foot Tier 3 data center and an 80,000-square foot office building on a 14.5-acre campus.
After a successful launch Element Critical engages with data center infrastructure leaders in Silicon Valley and soon signs its first customer at the Kifer Road facility in Silicon Valley.
In an effort to accommodate industry best practices for security and customer work/meeting space, in July 2017 Element Critical completed the VA1 remodel and began work on the SV1 remodel.
CentralColo relaunches as Element Critical, a new kind of data center that’s focused on caring as much about the people it serves as the servers it houses.
