Welcome Packet to Our Silicon Valley High Density Data and Compute Center
CentralColo is proud to welcome Packet’s bare metal cloud to its high density Silicon Valley data center.
Packet was searching for a location in Silicon Valley as part of its 2016 global expansion effort. “Packet’s bare metal cloud is targeted at developers who value both high performance and automation – which we deliver on through a very dense physical footprint.” said Zachary Smith, Packet’s CEO. “Working with CentralColo, we were able to secure cost effective Pay Per Use data center model to support our density requirements – and we were thrilled with CentralColo’s outstanding service throughout the evaluation process. This made the choice for our West Coast facility a no-brainer.”
CentralColo’s investment in its high density data and compute center has enabled the company to attract firms both within Silicon Valley and beyond that require robust, redundant power and cooling.
“We are excited to have Packet join us in our high density Pay Per Use Data and Compute Center. We believe that elastic data center will be future of our industry and through our investments in dynamic and metered power and cooling allocation, we provide the perfect platform for hosting or cloud businesses like Packet today” says Arman Khalili, CEO of CentralColo.
CentralColo’s primary facility is in the heart of Silicon Valley and well positioned to address the needs of both mission critical IT loads and also the high density compute requirements. CentralColo’s Pay Per Use elastic data center model will the industry standard in the near term future.
CentralColo has assembled a team of industry veterans to operate prime data center properties and has opened its first 8 MW Silicon Valley Data Center in June 2015. We will be expanding our operations to additional locations to address our client’s IT requirements.
